An innovative way to allow humans imitate birds - Wingsuit flying is an art of flying a human body through the air using a special jumpsuit, also known as birdman suit. The wingsuits are especially designed to shape the human body into an air foil that provides the lift for flying. The wingsuit consists of parachute equipment meant to be flown from any altitude to glide through the air for skydiving or BASE jumping from exit points. The wing suit creates an airfoil shape with fabric sewn between the legs and under the arms.
To fly a wingsuit with a group of wingsuit pilots animates somewhat a flock of birds, and therefore it is called “flocking”. BASE jumpers can fly the wingsuits in close proximity to cliff walls and experience the excitement of flying like a hawk. The parachutes are deployed at a planned altitude and the arms are unziped so as to reach the control toggles of the parachute and fly to a normal skydiving or BASE jumping landing. However, this electrifying experience of Wingsuit flying is comparatively a new discipline and its full potential is still to be harnessed.
